Jinshanling Great Wall has not been turned into the "Great Mall of China" as the stretches closer to Beijing have (Babaling, Mutianyu). We took a comfortable 4 hrs from Jinshanling to Simatai, stopping frequently to take pictures and catch the incredible view.
Saw fox droppings on the wall, falcons flying above us. Talked with the locals selling water and souvenir on the wall, really nice people just trying to make some money. Some told us they were unemployed farmers since their land had been bought up to build factories.

New Forbidden City Explore In Beijing City
The Forbidden City is getting a long overdue facelift and the real beauty of the place is now shining through. Go there to savour the history and admire the architecture and remember it for what it was- it was fantastic and still is!
Guide will pick you up from hotel in the morning then transfer you to visit Tiananmen Square at first for a short visit. After that, visit Forbidden City which located not far from the square. Inside Forbidden City in Beijing, you will start your tour with visit some important historical buildings inside this Ming and Qing Dynasty imperial palace. Explore the palace for about 2 hours, from the Outer Court (the administrative area) then Inner Court (living area), Imperial Garden and include the Exhibition of Treasures. In the Outer Court you will visit many important places where was a place for hold ceremonies, state banquets and imperial examinations. Enter to the Inner Court, you will see lots of small rooms where emperor and his family live. After half day of Forbidden City Tour end, you will have lunch then visit Temple of Heaven.
